EcoMogul Magazine had the opportunity to have an interview with Joüvique, about sustainability and their inspiration to clean beauty:
Where did the idea for Joüvique come from? Where do you find your inspiration?
It wasn’t difficult. These days is so hard to find products that don’t have synthetic ingredients, which are toxic in majority, and the effects in our system are not immediate, but definitely build up and causes disruption in our health.
Where does your deep commitment to sustainability come from?
Sustainability is a key value for Joüvique, as we deeply believe that our wellbeing and that of our planet are connected. We are all connected. We need to understand that our very existence depends on a healthy planet.
Our brand formulates clean products that are made with plant-based and sustainably-sourced ingredients that contribute to less pesticide and synthetic fertilizer residue to protect humans, animals, and the planet, as well as always looking for ways to minimize waste.
Can you describe your passion about sustainability?
As a company and as individuals, we make a conscious effort to produce the smallest environmental impact possible so that we may preserve or improve our quality of life. That’s what really matters, leaving this planet in better shape for future generations.
What do you think has to be changed in order to make the make-up and skin care industry even more sustainable?
What really will make a difference is to educate the public about the negative impact that careless manufacturing and packaging practices have on our ecosystem, raising awareness so they start making healthier choices – which in turn, will put pressure on industries to adapt to more sustainable, eco-minded practices.
